Since HELISUR foundation we have developed a highly specialized maintenance organization. Our personnel undergo ongoing training and receives consulting from the experts such as engine and gearbox manufacturers and also from the specialists of “UTair-Engineering” Repair Center belonging to UTair Group. The result of such interaction is efficient technical support focused on safety and continuous airworthiness of our aircraft that provide service to our clients.

Crews

  • 66 pilots, copilots and flight engineers with vast experience in MIL type helicopters.
  • Each crew’s average total exceeds 7000 flight hours.
  • Our pilots are carefully selected and must have at least 3,000 hours of flight time.
  • Great knowledge of the topography and conditions of each and every of our operation areas.

  • More than 100 professionals, namely engineers and technicians, have wide experience and specialization in any level of MIL helicopter preventive maintenance and its functionality.
  • Capacity for execution of so called Major Maintenance and Overhaul of our aircraft certified by the designer of MIL helicopters – Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant (MMHP) – and approved by Peruvian General Civil Aviation Authority – DGAC Peru.
  • Agreements of technical cooperation and permanent consulting with the designer of MIL Helicopters – Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant – and the manufacturer of helicopter engines – Motor-Sich JSC.

The vast experience that our crew members have is reinforced with continuous training received at the only advanced Mi-171 helicopter training facility in the Americas, which ensures compliance with the quality standards established by the manufacturer, such as the use of FULL FLIGHT CERTIFIED CLASS D SIMULATOR.

In addition to this, our pilots are being trained for longline external load works applying the vertical reference techniques, which increases the efficiency and effectiveness for this type of maneuvers.

Instrument flight rules

Since 2016, we have been the only DGAC-authorized company in Peru to be able to perform instrument flights (IFR - Instrument Flight Rules).

Its importance lies in the possibility of helicopter operation using the latest technology navigation equipment when visibility is significantly reduced.
