The multipurpose transport helicopter Mi-171 is an aircraft with a capacity to carry 22 passengers in comfortable seats or seat up to four (04) tons in external load. Likewise, it can be equipped for VIP flights.
The Mi-171 has the same flight performances that the Mi-8MTV-1, which make it capable of operating with high temperatures in the Amazon basin and the rugged geography of the Andes. It also has a system of lateral fuel tank size of special autonomy which allows a flight of up to 4 hours.
This aircraft has Type Certificate for the two operational versions, which corresponds to the airworthiness standards appropriate to the Federal Aviation Regulations of the U.S., FAR Part 29 and the Federal Aviation Regulations Russia, AP Part 29:
The MI-171 has navigation equipment, including a weather radar, VOR / ILS, DME, Transponder, all of which allow for Instrumental Flight (IFR).
